Jose Abreu

He's still wide open. I was happy to see he didn't look over matched to staart the season when the lights came on. If he stays around that 17-18% k-rate he will have a decent average when you consider he should hit 25-30 HR. I'm glad I got him as a Util in 1 league and have sent some feelers for him in my other two. I have him just outside my top-10 1Bs as a risk/reward guy like Belt and Rizzo.

I don't have him anywhere, but I'm always intrigued by imports. Once every team gets a 'book' on him, and where the holes are in his swing, it'll be interesting to see how he adjusts. That will ultimately determine the success rate of his season. Wouldn't be shocked to see a spike in Ks in another few weeks, as a result. Same thing I thought with Cespedes and Puig. I'm interested to see how it plays out, and how all the adjustments work out.

They didn't look so hot against Cingrani last week. Maybe another look will help.

and then LaRoche. He laid a huge LaStink on a couple of my rosters last season, and as is customary under my championship winning system, hes dead to me. Id draft an Upton in the first round before id touch LaTurd.

Inflammation but no structural damage.

He was so awful the first half last year I thought about giving up on him a few times too. You can't lose your patience with him. At the end of the year he'll have respectable numbers, even if he has to hit 11 HR in Sept to do it.

not trying to compare them to each other. Just a few guys I'm interested in hearing and sharing thoughts on. Especially Eaton. Wondering thoughts on his potential season arc batting leadoff at Cellular.

I'd take a healthy Melky in TOR batting leadoff vs a healthy Eaton in CHI. I like Eaton a lot but I also like Melky a lot too. Eaton could be a .300-100-10-70-25 guy if he can stick at the top of the order all season. Melky has the track record in a worse lineup to post even better numbers, I wouldn't leave either on any WW.
