Keepers the unique part of the league. We will be keeping 5 Bats / 4 Pitchers
Rules for keepers -
Batters: (1)1B or 3B, (1)2B or SS, (2)OF, (1)your choice(player may not be a duplicate! Example: I choose a 1B, SS, and 2 OF my 5th cannot be a 1B, SS, or OF...It must be a C, 2B, 3B, DH or Prospect (Prospect is the exception and can be any pos: 150 AB or less, 50 Ings or less)
Pitchers: (2)SP and (2)RP

My keeper is Jose Fernandez. I will be drafting from the 3rd spot out of 14. These are the other keepers. Mike Trout, Miguel Cabrera, Miguel Sano, Robinson Cano, Prince Fielder, Chris Davis, Andrew McCutchen, Starlin Castro, Bryce Harper, Clayton Kershaw, Adam Wainwright and Ryan Braun.

I think I like the idea of SS and 1B and 3B keepers. Using the player of your choice for 1B/3B. I put Goldschmidt and CarGo at the top then everyone else falls in together. I could draft Tulo at #3 then follow it up with the best 1B available. Then on the turn back around I could nab a player like Machado. Or I could wait on SS and take Freeman or Votto. Then grab the best 3B available and nab Bogaerts on the turn for SS.

Options for 3rd pick
1B- Paul Goldschmidt
1B- Joey Votto
1B- Freddie Freeman
2B- Jason Kipnis
3B- David Wright
SS- Troy Tulowitzki
OF- Carlos Gonzalez
SP- Felx Hernandez
SP- Max Scherzer
SP- Stephen Strasburg

I think you should take Goldschmidt/Votto/Freeman (in that order) and grab an OF. Next grab an SP/SS and draft based on depth/preference. There are quite a few solid producers at C/2B/3B/OF/P who can be had later in the draft.

Goldy first, then Cargo then Tulo. After the first pick then I think the decisions will become a little easier.

I'd take Goldschmidt or Votto with your first pick for sure. Get the most valued player you can with your top pick that isn't injury prone. Then go for Bogaerts and Machado later.
