12 team, 5x5 roto

C - Jason Castro
1B - Brandon Moss
2B - Brett Lawrie
3B - Aramis Ramirez
SS - Elvis Andrus
OF - Mike Trout
OF - Bryce Harper
OF - Justin Upton
util - Kole Calhoun
util - Brett Gardner

SP - Gerrit Cole
SP - Jordan Zimmermann
RP- Koji Uehera
RP - Bobby Parnell
P - James Shields
P - Alex Cobb
P - Fernando Rodney
P - Joaquin Benoit

bench - Adam Lind, Scott Kazmir, Tyler Clippard, Brad Miller, Corey Dickerson

In season management notes:
- I plan on using a platoon of Adam Lind and Brandon Moss against right handed pitching
- I plan on using Corey Dickerson whenever he is playing at Coors Field

Thoughts? Do I need to add another ace? Another power hitter? Can this team compete for the top spot in a 12 team league?

Leave a link and I will do the best I can to help you analyze your team! ;-D

I actually like this team a lot. There's no one that I don't like or wouldn't target. My one worry might be that you have overkill in speed. With Andrus, Trout, Harper, Gardner and then guys like Lawrie, Upton and Calhoun who can give you 10-12 each at least, you can definitely afford to move some speed for power. I might look to move one of those outfielders for a slugger. The good news is you have a wide range of talent there, so you can kind of pick and choose which guy you'd prefer to move based on what kind of return you'd get. Pitching looks good. No true ace but a bunch of guys I'd love to have as #2s, which is great. And you look solid in the bullpen as well. Nicely done.

This team looks great. I think your pitching is solid -Zimmerman, Cobb, and Shields form a reliable trio and you've also got Cole who might take a step forward to be one of the top 12 or 15 SP's in the league. Your outfield is sexy, obviously the strength of your team. Having Trout and Harper is pretty awesome. Like the above poster said, you definitely have an abundance of speed. I would possibly look to upgrade on a guy like Brett Gardner, who could be fighting for at bats in a crowded Yankee outfield. Maybe add someone who could get you 15 or 20+ HR (is Chris Carter available on FA?) Kole Calhoun and Jason Castro were two guys I was targeting in a lot of my drafts. I really like their upside. Overall, I would think this would be a top 3 team in a 12 team league.

I do like this team a lot. You have great value guys like Moss, Miller and Kazmir. Though you have a lot invested in the outfield. I'd maybe consider trying to move Upton, but that's just me. I think you need some insurance in Ramirez, I don't have much faith in him staying healthy. Anyone on the wire? Only other gripe i might have is the relievers. I know it's good to wait on saves, but at the same time I'm not so sold that these guys have nice holds on their jobs.

I personally would start the season with what you got, I think it looks really good,.. but I also agree with the guy earlier about Ramirez not staying healthy.. if brad miller is doing good enough (I think he will) then I'd use him as a SS and upgrade 3b somehow with Andrus as trade bait.. (or vice versa if you can)...
