AL-Only keepers (WHIR)

Taking over a sad sack team, :-{

AL-ONLY 10 team Roto Style keeper league. players have 2 year contracts, then return to the auction, OR you can keep them as toppers, meaning they will be bid on during the auction, but have the right to match any bid, and keep him if I see fit.

Roster Parameters: (start the following weekly)
2-Catchers, 1-1B, 1-2B, 1-3B, 1-SS, 1-MI, 1-CI, 5-OF, 1-DH, 9 pitchers

C - Flowers $topper$
1B - A.Lind $7 (think I will move him to DH, better fit there)
2B - Cano $35
OF - Myers $23
OF - Saunders $topper$
P - Cobb $10
P - Porcello $4
P - Santiago $3
P - Doubront $3
P - Pineda $3
TOTAL = $88 (for 8 players, $172 left for 15 players)

Other options:
SS - Y.Escobar $8 (think we can do better, maybe he fits as a MI?)
P - D.Holland $11 (but he is out most of the season, does $11 still carry value? as a stash keeper)
P - S.Doolittle $8

Was offered the following deal,
C - M.Weithers $20

P - Porcello $4 OR P - Santiago $3 (my choice)

Only thing that worries me here, is we would be over $100 going into the auction, but maybe its not so bad with it being a 10 team AL-Only,

I really can't be of much help. AL or NL only leagues are not really my thing. But I would do the trade of Porky for Weiters.

I'm really not too familiar with Auction leagues as I have never done one. I don't know the typical value of catchers $ wise, but I assume Weiters is in the 7-10 range. As an Orioles fan, I can say Weiters bat was a huge disappointment last season. Most would expect him to bat a minimum of .250. I realize Flowers was rough last year as well and if you think you can't survive with Flowers or make a move for another catcher, Weiters could be a decent option. I fully expect him to have a much better year this year and he will be playing for a big pay day (I fully expect out of Davis, Weiters and Machado, Weiters is the least likely to re-sign). He would be a good option, but as I mentioned, I don't know how badly the 20 mil will hurt you in terms of paying the rest of your team.
