JJ Hardy + Salazar/Cingrani for Ben Zobrist

Postby BalooDP » Sat Mar 15, 2014 1:45 am

Should I go for this trade? JJ Hardy and one of my pitchers for his Ben Zobrist. 12-team H2H Points league. Was thinking trading away Cingrani or Salazer and Hardy for Zobrist. What do you guys think? Here's my team for reference:

C Gattis
1B Fielder
2B Profar
3B Machado
SS Hardy
1B/3B Joey Votto
2B/SS Xander Bogaerts (When he gets eligibility)
OF Alex Gordon
OF Shin Soo-Choo
OF Wil Myers
OF Michael Brantley
OF Josh Reddick
UTIL Mike Moustakas
BN Michael Morse
BN Travis D'Arnaud
BN Brad Miller

P Madison Bumgarner
P Justin Verlander
P Gerrit Cole
P Johnny Cueto
P Tony Cingrani
P Danny Salazar
P Corey Kluber

I actually don't mind this, what SP are on the wire?

Bogaerts is slated to be eligable at 3rd not 2nd (as far as I know)

Profar I have little faith in and Zobrist can help out there as well. You have decent power guys so Hardy may not be needed.

He will be eligible at SS ten days in because that's where they're playing him.

Guys on the wire worth a look:

Leake
McAllister
Haren
Quintana
Nolasco
Kennedy
Lohse
Jose Veras
LaTroy Hawkins

I wouldn't move Salazar, maybe Cingrani or Kluber and get Zobrist and probably pick up Lohse. I was just confused because you had Bogaerts with 2b/SS

Nope. I agree that zobrist isn't that much better than Hardy for you having to add an arm to go along with him in the deal. I wouldn't do it.

Thanks for your help with mine.

Don't add an arm with that much potential. Zobrist is clearly better than hardy IMO, but u would feel better about it if it were Cueto or Kluber.

I think Zobrist is much better and will have a better year than last, but I wouldn't give up Salazar in the deal too. I would do hardy and cingrani depending on what's available in FA.

I'd do hardy and cingrani for zobrist. can't forget that an open roster spot has value as well.

Hardy is better than Zobrist

Zobrist is overrated in fantasy mainly because of his position eligibility. He hit 12HR and had a .275 BA, 71 RBI's which is ok but not great and not worh Hardy and Salazar.
