In a 12 team, 5x5 OPS Keeper league with the ability to hold on to 7 keepers per year. There is a 5 rd tax on keepers every year you keep them, so a player drafted in the 20th rd in 2014 would be kept in the 15th in 2015.
Currently, this is my keeper list (keeper round in parenthesis):
1. Paul Goldschmidt (7) 2. Matt Carpenter (14) 3. Trevor Rosenthal (12) 4. Matt Adams (18) 5. Sonny Gray (19) 6. Brad Miller (26) 7. Nick Castellanos (27)
Others: Zack Wheeler (17) Anthony Rendon (22)
I've been offered Alex Gordon (10) for Matt Carpenter (14) straight up. Trade partner is also willing to expand the deal to include Samardzija (11), but I'd need to add from my side. A couple of questions: Who is the better fantasy asset? Carpenter plays 2B, but can only help in runs and OPS. Gordon can contribute in all 5 categories, but plays a position that is full of talent. Additionally, what would be a fair offer if I wanted to acquire Samardzija?
Hope you guys can help me out with this, I'd provide my two cents with anything you guys need help on.
Carp and its not close, Gordon is batting in the middle of the lineup this year, good 20/20 OF...5 cat contributor I'd take Gordon You know Omar Infante or Howie Kendrick right? You can probably target him in the draft oh wait he's basically the same..

How is it not close? Gordons projections are about the same as last years numbers. Should be around 20 hrs 80 rbis. Carpenter is in for a regression. Still good, but more like .290 90-100 runs. Stat wise they are close. The only reason i might give Carpenter the edge, is a 4 round differnce.
