Frazier for Wood. WHIR

Postby skjelstrom » Sat Mar 08, 2014 1:25 am

I'm in need of pitching would you do this:

I give:
Todd Frazier

I get:
Alex Wood

16 team league with 26 keepers per year. batting cat: R,HR,RBI,BB,SB,OBP pitching cat: ERA,WHIP,K,W,SV

This is a large keeper league so I like Wood as he is young and has good stuff but he has a wacky mechanic and may even end up in the bullpen. I've been hearing rumors about Frazier solidifying his swing to make it more repeatable. Even if it makes him only hit .265 instead of .240 with likely 20hr and possible 10sb from the 3B slot it could be a bargain.

Help me out here. WHIR

I'd definitely do that trade....wood has greater value for the present, better long term/keeper, and a higher ceiling. Plus I think you'll be hard pressed to find someone to give up a better sp

Do you have 3b already covered??
I think I wood do this trade if you have 3b covered.
They have been saying that he'll gain the #5 spot, but Garcia is a veteran arm that can be used and Wood more effectively out of the pen IMO.

Nothing fantastic, but I have Moustakas at 3B and I think he'll come around one of these years. KC likes their late bloomers.
I'm working on trades for a better 3B as I have plenty of OF to spare, but for now the Moose is covering.

The only thing I'm afraid of is Wood going to the pen for good. That would be a waste unless he ends up becoming a top notch closer.
