You absolutely have a need for speed and, given that you have Miggy and Longo, you have your corners covered. Fielder is a guy you can move. My concern is adding Victorino and Phillips and only getting Brown and Rasmus back. Ellsbury and Fielder are basically an even swap. What other guys could you potentially get back if you modified the deal?

Don't need Colby Rasmus
How about Fielder, Phillips Victorino for Ellsbury, Desmond, and Brown.

This gives you a legit SS upgrade, Profar to 2b (not even really a downgrade here), nice upgrade to your OF for RF and CF.

I just tried and he only wants to do the original offer. Do I still consider this trade or stay put? Maybe I could deal brown and rasmus to help round out my team.

Agree 100% you don't need rasmus or brown...but if he is set on fielder than tell him to keep his rasmus and you keep Phillips...and if he doesn't like that deal well then tell him to jump in a lake. Then go find Gomez and make a package deal for him.

So are you suggesting fielder victorino for ellsbury? Also you don't think brown has much upside?
