Drop Walker for these Prospects?

Postby rasto21585 » Wed Mar 05, 2014 11:39 pm

In my 20 team dynasty league there are some solid prospects available as FA. Such guys I'm eying are clint frazier raul mondesi jr julio urias mike olt. Any of these worth picking up? Also I would most likely be dropping walker. Is neil walker worth hanging on to or is it safe to drop him?

It is safe, but I'd drop Thornton Richards Roark Delarosa first

I would grab Clint Frazier, elite power and plays the OF (a position of future need for your team) your OF is a bit thin. I would probably leave Mike Olt alone, he's blocked by Rizzo and has competition from other decent 1b prospects in the Chicago farm system. Good job grabbing Joc for Thornton, you can always find MRP even in a deep league. Problem with Urias is his age, but I could see him possibly making an early splash like Felix Hernandez did...kind of a good comparison there if you ask me. I think Mondesi's upside is hit tool, but also quite young and would wait on him. You really want to let a prospect rot on your bench for a couple years?

;-D

In the long run, Frazier, Urias, Mondesi will be better then Pederson.
Depends how long you can wait on these guys?
If you can wait, i take Frazier and Urias.
I love Frazier and Mondesi, but Urias might be with Giolitto, as the highest pitching prospects out there.
Possible ace material.
Pederson is solid, but his upside isn't in Frazier, Urias, Mondesi level.

Pederson has 30/30 capabilities, limited upside? I'd compare him favorably to BJ Upton in his good years.

Not sure where you're getting 30/30.
If you look at his scouting grade (20-80), he's good in everything, but not great in any one.
hit 55
power 55
speed 55
I like him, i just don't think his ceiling is what Frazier, Urias, Mondesi is.
But interesting debate.
