Trading for Profar...how much to give?? WHIR

12 Team Head to Head Auction Keeper
$300 Cap
6x6 - AVG/HR/RBI/R/SB/OPS - QS/ERA/WHIP/K/HLD/SV
Expiring contracts can be renewed at 1.5x for up to 5 years

I am trying to acquire Jurickson Profar (still rosterable as a minor leaguer) who is signed at $3 for 3 years then resignable at $5 for 5 more, so i'd essentially have him through his prime. But after a less than stellar debut, i am wondering how far i should go.

I just made a big offer: K Davis, Mondesi, Montero plus $5 for Profar. I think it's solid but still one i'm ok with. He wanted Taveras...i rebuffed. He likes Soler. Do i include him in a deal if needed? I'm a bit confused as to Profars value and the uptick he gets since this would essentially be a dynasty trade. I do like his positional flex this year. Thoughts? Who should i give up for him? Or NOT GIVE UP?

You could include Soler instead of Mondesi, but it's alot to give up. I think I would be comfortable with it though if he declines this deal.

I would never count a guy out based on their debut, especially a 20 year old guy as Profar was last year. I would, however, be a little careful in betting the farm on anyone. Four guys + $5 for Profar seems excessive unless you really think he'll be a great 2B that gets you statistics down the road. Three guys + $5 at max for Profar, and ideally those three guys are replaceable with minor league guys you already have.

Profar I think is going to be nice, but it sounds like the guy who you are talking too might think that he can get whatever he wants for him. The feeling I get at least. I think you are giving a lot for him. Stick with Mondesi but do not include him and Soler. All that you are giving for just Profar seems like a lot, I think you could get him for less.

Personally, I think you have given him a fair deal.... Soler is a stretch for me. Taveras is way off.

If he declines, he declines. Not sure I go much further.
