I think you can start with the following Automatic keepers.

OF - Harper $4 (STUD)
OF - Myers $4 (STUD)

Then go with these guys:
P - Samardzija $3 (Steal, hope he gets dealt before season starts out of Chicago)
P - Wheeler $2 (Steal)
P - Kimbrel $14 (best in the game, bar none, only sure thing at Closers now with Rivera gone, last year of his deal, might as well ride it out)
C - Ramos $4 (with it being a 2 Catcher league that is a steal for your #2 guy, could blossom and be a #1 this season)
1B - Hosmer $18 (not bad value there, can be your #1 1B, spend money else where while others bid like crazy on Goldie/Votto/Fielder etc)
2B - Altuve $8 (pretty good value here, since I could see him going for $18-$20 in a typical auction)
TOTAL = $57

Nothing wrong with throwing back Hosmer, and only going with 7 keepers.....but with a $300 budget (usually see $260 leagues) you can;t go wrong here.

i agree with all of the above post

about hosmer. i like hosmer at that price. you dont usually get stolen bases from a first baseman. but you also dont get huge power from him.

If it helps our $300 cap is (1.15) player salary value to the usual $260.

Thank you all for the help. I am interested to see if anyone out there may feel any different on these recommendations? Are these players that have been pointed out all worth keeping at these prices?

Thanks again, and please let me know if you need help on your end with a recommendation.

I would definitely keep these 8. You have really good cheap keepers. I think you keep Hosmer as he will probably go for 18 or more in the auction. He is a definite 20/20 guy probably and most likely more. He is just strarting to be a star and is worth the money. The other guys are easy yes's. Good luck!

please help
