Trade before keepers

Postby kslates » Sun Feb 23, 2014 10:19 am

I give Longoria, Freeman

I get Salazar (rd 20 x 3 yrs), Desmond Jennings (rd 22 x 3 yrs), Donaldson, (rd 19 x 3 yrs), Wily Peralta (rd 17 x 5 yrs)

I would then draft Prince, Beltre or Braun in the second round instead of keeping Longoria there.

Losing freeman is the one I'm questioning. I'm trading longoria for sure to open up my second round pick Thoughts?

A bad trade is just bad, quality over quantity.

Not a trade I would do. I don't mind dealing Longoria as you would then get another top bat in the draft. But I don't think you are getting enough value for your two very good bats. Freeman is a fantastic value at 16. I would look at just dealing Longoria.
