I'm operating under the assumption that anyone with an AB or IP is in the Yahoo player pool so this is only an issue for the Bryce Harper elite prospect type that might get called up early or win a spot out of spring training. For these types I would need to consult the Yahoo database to see if I can draft them.

Chances are they will be there - I understand the prospect pool is significantly larger this year.

According to Stat Tracker, here are the unofficial 2014 Masters results before all the tiebreakers kick in:

1. The Artful Dodger - 134
2. Pogo - 100.5
3. Redhopeful - 97
4. twistedude - 93
5. wrveres - 92.5
6. daullaz - 91
7. ironman - 88.5
8. Kaiser - 85
9. Thracken - 79.5
10. rookies and cream - 72.5
11. Chris8 - 63.5
12. rjforlife - 62.5
13. Mookie - 55.5
14. jackie hayes - 44.5
15. Third Day - 40.5

I beat the n00bs last season in very similar fashion, taking the lead in late May and never looking back.

I should have an extra half-point in the BA tiebreaker tomorrow. So, that's 134.5 points for a new (and totally meaningless) Masters record. :-B

Thanks for that. It's a good idea to save all the league standings here and offline, until the new Cafe redesign rolls out.

All we need is the Pond Scum standings.

Wow, Dodger had a bigger lead over 2nd place, than 2nd place had over 10th!
He just crushed the entire field.... was he the only one allowed to make FA pickups? Or did he get an extra 5-6 first round picks? Had to be something like that, right? :-D

Skills. And witchcraft. :-B

My most notable draft picks were Rizzo, Cruz, Rendon, and I guess Seager counts despite being a sneaky good hitter. (Hanley and Puig were my first two picks and they were just OK.)

I took 3 SP within my first 8 picks: Felix, Sanchez, and Hamels. Sanchez didn't pan out as well as hoped, but I did have Corey Kluber in the later rounds.

Corey Dickerson was my favorite FA pickup, along with a few other closers who got me plenty of cheap saves (Rondon, Casilla, and Rodney who I drafted). I sold high on Alexei Ramirez when he was on a career year pace and threw in Ryan Howard for Dee Gordon to address for steals being my weakest point. (SB was the only single-digit category at 9 points. :-b)

I stole 5 points or so in the last two weeks of the season by streaming 2-3 start pitchers. I was close enough to gain serious ground in wins and K's while I was "stuck" for third in saves. Plus, Daullaz won the league with 132.5 points three seasons ago and I wanted to beat that record. B-)
