The title is the short of what the league is. What follows explains everything you want to know about the league.
First, a quick bit about me. Because frankly, I'd like to know a bit about my commissioner if I were joining a new league. I'm from Pittsburgh, have been playing and running fantasy baseball leagues for 9 years. I've been using the cafe for years, but mainly got into posting a lot last year. The leagues I've run have ranged from 8-team leagues with high school friends to 16 team leagues (those were football…the largest baseball league I've run is 12.) I like to think I'm a conventional commissioner, keeping things simple but always throwing in a twist to make the league a bit more exciting and break the 100% conventional league. I tend to make the playoffs, but haven't won a league myself since 2009.
League type: H2H points
Number of divisions: 2
Total roster size: 25 players (no minor league rosters)
Draft type: To be voted on by the league (my preference is auction, but serpentine is an option as well)
Line-ups: Set weekly (although if I get enough people wanting to do daily, I'll certainly listen)
League site: ESPN
League fee: $25/team
Free agency: FAAB
Roster specifications: C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, OF, OF, OF, Util, Util, SP, RP, P, P, P, P, P, 8 bench, 3 DL
Number of keepers after 2014 season: 7 per team
The league won't draft until February, but I'd like to get the 12 owners committed so we can figure out specifics of the league and get everything squared away. If you have any questions, send me a PM and I'll be glad to answer any concerns you have.
The types of owners I'm looking for are:
1. Committed to the season, no matter how good/bad your team turns out. Committed means always setting your lineup, responding to trade offers, not leaving a ridiculous amount of injured players in your line-up/on your bench.
2. Those who enjoy baseball and want to bring that passion to this league as general managers of their roster.
3. Will pay their league fees on time.
4. Can have fun and help make the league enjoyable.
Again, for questions or to join the league, send me a PM. You can also contact me at email@example.com
