how to address my catcher trio?

Postby Ragoczy » Tue Dec 17, 2013 3:58 pm

NL only 5x5 keeper league and I have W Ramos, E Gattis & T d'Arnaud all at relatively the same contract price and length. Looking to trade one of them to address other areas of need. I'm keeping Ramos as I think he is the best combo of production and safety. I think Gattis rightfully has more trade value. Is d'Arnaud going to improve enough and is his future bright enough to merit trading away Gattis? Or am I better off keeping Gattis and trading low on d'Arnaud?

Thanks!

It depends on what you can get for each of them. Gattis has the most upside, IMO. I view him as a Mike Napoli type player potentially. Ramos is a very safe pick & D'Arnaud could end up being the most complete. If it were up to me I would feel pretty good about moving D'Arnaud, whom should still carry a fair amount of trade value, to moving forward with Ramos & Gattis.

I am biased so I'd go with Ramos and Gattis.

I think you let the trade offerings make the final decision; if you can get good value for Gattis trade him and help out another area.
When asking for roster advice in these pages, remember there are thousands of different sets of league rules & many different active roster settings. If you want the best replies, be sure to include your leagues particulars in the original post
