Reyes for Desmond and Kemp

Postby CyboNinja » Sun Aug 04, 2013 12:39 pm

12 team H2H 6x6 with ops and qs. Was offered my Jose Reyes and Matt Wieters for Ian Desmond and Matt Kemp. I'm Currently in first but my offense has been slumping as of late. Would have Willingham coming off the DL on Mon so I won't need to hit the ww for a bat just yet. Last I readon Kemp they're sayin maybe as late as Sept which will be just in time for our playoffs. Also I doubt they rush him back as long as Puig and Ethier keep hitting. Here's my roster.

C-W Rosario C
1B- J Votto 1B
2B- N Franklin SS, 2B
SS- Jose Reyes SS
3B- H Ramirez SS, 3B
LF- S Marte LF, CF
CF- A De Aza CF, RF
RF- C Davis 1B, RF
Util- E Encarnacion 1B, 3B
Util- M Weiters C
BN- J Lake SS, CF
BN- X Bogaerts
DL- J Willingham

P- F Hernandez
P- J Sheilds
P- D Fister
P- H Ryu
P- B Ziegler
RP- E Frieri
RP- J Henderson
BN- B Beachy
BN- R Olendorf
BN- E Jackson
BN- A Ogando
BN- T Jordan
DL- Johnny Cueto

I was thinking of countering with an offer for an arm instead of Kemp but he's still a keeper and I could always shop him until our deadline (which is Friday at noon). I'm really close to accepting please let me know what you guys think and as always I'm glad to return the favor. Thanks.

I would take the deal. Reyes and Kemp are both injury risks but I like kemp's upside more.

Thanks for the help with mine. I like Reyes a lot more than Kemp for this year. I think the turf may ultimately wear down Reyes over time, but for this season, Kemp has done very litle, and no longer shows any speed. I like having a solid backup catcher, since catchers get so many days off, and you can then still fill the active roster spot on those days. That said, this trade is fairly even and I think it can't wrong either way.
