I'm in a 16-team dynasty league where you keep all your players year to year, it's H2H 6x6 categories (standard 5x5 plus OBP and holds), we start 2 1B and 2 3B.
i give: byron buxton(gasp), cowart, quinn, and aaron sanchez
i get: carlos gomez, homer bailey, carlos correa, zack wheeler
My team is:
bench-profar, gordon beckham, ackley, viciedo, cowart, ludwick, buxton, gary sanchez, maikel franco, roman quinn, max kepler
pitchers-darvish, kershaw, harvey, felix, pomeranz, arroyo, trevor bauer, josh johnson, buehrle, marquis, bundy, brett anderson, neftali, rafael soriano, huston street, matusz, cishek, aaron sanchez, glasnow
I know this seems like a no-brainer, but I truly believe Buxton is a generational talent and only another year and a half or so from being in the Trout-osphere. He appears to be that good based on his numbers and what every scout has been saying about him, probably the best prospect of the last decade. There's also a lot of upside in that trade coming from my side, especially Sanchez who is a top 25 prospect in his own right.
Should I believe in Gomez and Bailey? Is it worth giving up a guy who will in all likelihood tear up the league in the near future and become one of the top dynasty league players (on the level of trout, harper and machado) before his 22nd birthday?
