how and the hell did Greinke not get suspended? he drilled Montero right in the back on purpose. so what MLB is saying, is sometimes it's OK to intentionally throw at and hit a batter. that's borderline assault with a deadly weapon. maybe Greinke didn't get suspended because the pitch he threw hit a batter in the back, rather than up around the head. but still, he got damn lucky for what he did do. I have to wonder if MLB went easy on Greinke because he got his ass owned by Carlos Quentin and already missed time on the DL.
The added ability to appeal the suspensions and essentially choose the days to be suspended is what really make this easy for Kennedy. A one game suspension should be something like 7 games for a pitcher.
