A-Gon/Minor for Bumgarner? (WHIR)

Postby rjforlife » Wed May 22, 2013 12:11 am

I sold off a lot of pitching recently for great value, but now with Sale a bit dinged up, I wanted to fortify my staff. 5X5 H2H weekly changes, 10 teams. Keep 6, prices are for next year.

I give: Adrian Gonzalez- $40 and Mike Minor- $5 for Madison Bumgarner- $19

I have McLouth on my bench to take A-Gon's spot, my roster is:

C- Wieters
1B- Goldschmidt
2B- Rutledge
3B- Cabrera
SS- Castro
MI- Segura
CI- Zimmerman
OF- Bruce/Cargo/Choo/Aoki/Gordon ( We start 5)
Util- Adrian Gonzalez

BN- McLouth/Adams/Belt

SPs- Sale/Hamels/Minor/Corbin/Bailey/Cashner/Wood/Estrada/Gausman

Thoughts? Drop a link, I'll respond ASAP.

Cabrera looks good at 3B for you. I like minor, and his keeper value. However, you are turning A. Gonzalez and his price tag into a Definetly keeper potential for a decent price. Considering that, and the batting line up you are sporting I think Bumgarner > minor for a #3 pitcher is a move I like. Good crafty work to develop the dumping of $40 and turning into a cheaper keeper for next year I think.

You are giving up a lot, but Bumgarner @ $19 obviously helps you in terms of keepers going forward. It looks like your offense can afford the hit.

Giving a lot but I am no longer a fan of A-Gon, his lack of power really drops him down a few rungs of the 1b ladder.

the fact that A-Gon can be replaced by McLouth and/or Belt is what makes this deal work for me.

Thanks for the help on mine.

Thanks for help with mine!

I have A-Gon on my roster and he's number 3 on my OFs. He's not the dominant slugger he used to be. Make the deal
