Mark good is he?

Is he a future ace?

How long do you think he'll be in the minors?

I think he'll be a solid SP in the league, not sure what his ceiling is...and I also think he'll move through the minors pretty fast.

He's not in the Strasburg tier of draft prospects but possibly in the Verlander/Price tier. FWIW those are the 3 pitchers that were considered the best talent in their draft class in the last decade (since Prior). Gray is also in the same tier as Appel.

It was either Sickels or BA that still prefers Buxton (drafted version) to the current version of Appel. OT but Buxton is making a case to be the #1 overall prospect next offseason if you don't follow the Cedar Rapids Kernals.

I cannot think of a scenario where Appel isn't up for good by July 2014 and honestly he could be up for good in August of this year.
