What do you guys think of his steals rate for this season? I was thinking one a week, perhaps, but he only has one all season so far. This is hardly a complaint given his massive productivity, more of an inquiry as to whether his steals total is a function of the Nats not wanting to run him or maybe he just hasn't been in the right situations so far. He does have two CS on the season so he's gone 1 for 3 in swipe attempts.
For reference he went 18 for 24 in 2012.
You have to expect the he's not going to slug .800+ for the rest if the year. (I think). So, once the slg% comes down he'll have a bit more opportunity to steal. It's hard to tell, though. He is really aggressive. His attempt to steal 3rd yesterday was pretty silly. All that said, I think 15 would be on the high side. 10-15, a safe bet.
