Kershaw for Weaver and Rios? WHIR

Postby jasonpm311 » Fri Mar 29, 2013 2:35 pm

Should I give up Weaver and Rios for Kershaw, or is that too much? I'm considering doing it because Weaver worries me, and because it would allow me to pick up Ruggiano, who everyone seems to love. Thoughts? Thanks.

I'd do it. You're talking about 2 guys who are concerning. Rios isn't getting any younger. And Weaver seems to be hitting that age where little things start cropping up more regularly. I'd take Kershaw over him in a heartbeat, and in my league there are plenty of high upside guys available on waivers that I would take over Rios solely on potential, because if he does go down at some point they may not be there later. Short answer yes, would do it.

I'd do it, too. Especially if you're stacked with batters. Weaver is a major concern with his velocity drop, although he's possibly a top 10 starter. Rios is pretty overrated, if you ask me and I think you can afford to lose him and find a decent replacement on the waivers.

Jump on it before the guy changes his mind. Kershaw is way better than Weaver, and you can replace Rios easily.
