5 x 5, OPS instead of AVG

C - M Napoli
1B - P Goldschmidt
2B - J Gyorko
3B - A Beltre
SS - J Lowrie
OF - M Trout
OF - J Willingham
OF - B Harper
UT - A Rizzo
UT - A Craig

Bench - J. Profar, S. Perez, E. Bonifacio, T. Plouffe

SP - Y. Gallardo, M. Scherzer, J. Peavy, J. Samardzija, H. Ryu, S. Miller
RP - A. Ogando, V. Pestano

Our league changed to a keeper league this year. We didn't get to keep players from last season, but from here on out each team gets to keep 4 players every year. And I guess its considered a dynasty league since there is no limit on how long we can keep players for. I ended up with the first pick overall so I went with Trout.

Since this was our first season moving to keepers I wasn't sure if owners would draft with a focus on keepers or draft traditionally where the best proven players are taken first. Apparently I was the only person drafting with a strong focus on keeper value, because Harper managed to fall to me with the last pick in the second round. Then I took Wright, followed by Goldschmidt and Craig. Then I drafted Gallardo and Scherzer, having just missed out on Medlen and some other SPs I wanted.

I didn't bother drafting any closers. I wanted to switch things up this year and try something different.

Well, it seems like you were the only one paying attention than during the draft. For a keeper league set up the way you guys do it, I really like your team. You have some of the supreme talent in the Majors in Goldschmidt, Gyorko (good pick there), Trout, Harper, Rizzo, Profar, Perez, Samardzija and Miller. Holy smokes. A+ on gobbling up as much as you could.

BUT.. you can only keep four. This puts you in a great spot to trade some of them now, maybe? Maybe get an ace SP (Gallardo, Scherzer and Peavy are all high-tier, but not elite). Get a RP (you missed out on a real closer). Other than that, I have nothing to add to this team. Nice balance of power and speed (little more power than speed). Well done.
