Who to Drop?

Postby phillyg21 » Thu Mar 28, 2013 11:57 pm

10th year - 10 team roto keeper, 5x5 with OBP instead of Avg.

I need to drop someone to pick up a catcher; but who do i drop; we get to keep 4 a year, and we get to keep 1 player with less than 600 at bats so Wil Myers is actually very valuable.

C: open
1B: Votto - no
2B: Cano - no
SS: Tulo - no
3B: M Reynolds - actually not bad in OBP leagues and also why i have M. Young
OF: A Gon - no
OF: Ellsbury - no
OF: A Gordon - no
Util: Goldschmidt - no
Util: Asdrubal - maybe
B: N Cruz - maybe
B: J Werth - maybe
B: W Myers - NA, but mentioned before, stipulation in my league will let me keep him.
B: m young - maybe

sp: k medlen - no
sp: j zimmerman - no
sp: ian kennedy - no
rp: h street - no
rp: league - ugh, closer
p: c perez - no
p: k Jansen - ugh, so good
p: wilhelmsen - no
b: benoit - i know this is the obvious choice, but dropping a closer is awful to do...they're sought after so hard in our league
b: estrada - maybe
b:j peavy - maybe

mccann - DL slot; doesn't effect me

In order of drop-preference for me:

1. Benoit (he's not the closer, buddy... no need to keep a closer-by-committee guy on your roster)
2. Werth (disposable to get a catcher)
3. Reynolds/Young (I'm not big on either, but I don't know what the wire has to offer to replace your 3B).
