6x6 dynasty league

Postby Vikes_Fan2823 » Fri Mar 15, 2013 2:59 pm

After something like 12 years of playing fantasy football, I made the leap into fantasy baseball this year by joining a 12 team, 6x6 dynasty (standard five + total bases for hitters, ERA/K/WHIP/QS/BAA/Saves+Holds for pitchers). Draft was last night, here's how I fared:

C Matt Wieters, BAL
1B Carlos Santana, CLE (C)
2B Aaron Hill, ARI
3B Chase Headley, SD
SS Alcides Escobar, KC
IF Chris Davis, BAL (1B, OF)
OF Justin Upton, ATL
OF BJ Upton, ATL
OF Ben Zobrist, TB (2B, SS)
OF Matt Joyce, TB
OF Dayan Viciedo, CWS
UTIL Manny Machado, BAL (3B)
UTIL Jesus Montero, SEA (C)
BE Brett Lawrie, TOR (3B)
BE Justin Morneau, MIN (1B)
BE Chris Parmelee, MIN (1B)
BE Jon Jay, STL (OF)

P Aroldis Chapman, CIN
P Ubaldo Jimenez, CLE
SP Chris Tillman, BAL
SP Mat Latos, CIN
SP Trevor Cahill, ARI
SP Mike Fiers, MIL
SP A.J. Griffin, OAK
RP Jonathan Papelbon, PHI
RP Joel Hanrahan, BOS
RP Jared Burton, MIN
BE Chad Billingsley, LAD
T-Ball Trainer

As a Packer fan I normally wouldn't give advice to a Vikings fan but I'm feeling generous today.

I see a ton of upside on the hitting side. Uptons, Lawrie, Machado, Montero, Morneau, Wieters. Some downside risk with Headley, Hill and Davis but nothing too drastic. Grade A-

Pitching not so enthused about. Jimenez is garbage. Latos is your best starter but he pitches in a hitters park. I wouldn't be surprised to see Griffin, Tillman and Billingsley struggle. If Chapman goes to the pen it actually hurts your teams value. Lacking a bonafide ace but there are some quality arms. Closers are good. Grade C
