who is starting where in the Mets Outfield.
what predictions do you see for the starters?

who to consider?

Lucas Duda, Jordany Valdespin, Kirk Nieuwenhuis, Collin Cowgill, Mike Baxter, Marlon Byrd.

some numbers.

Kirk Nieuwenhuis ... ieuwenhuis

Jordany Valdespin in 2011 at AA had .297/ .341/ .483/ .824/ 15 HR/ 33 SB ... -Valdespin

Collin Cowgill in 2011 at AAA had .354/ .430/ .554/ .984/ 13 HR/ 30 SB
Collin Cowgill in 2010 at AA had .285/ .360/ .464/ .825/ 16 HR/ 25 SB ... in-Cowgill

I wouldn't really consider any of those starters in a standard mixed league, but thinkimg more so deeper league (14/16 team), could any of these guys surprise?

Gotta take Valdespin off any list for...

ROTOWIRE - "3/13/2013: Valdespin, who was not wearing a cup when he was hit in the groin by a 94-mpn Justin Verlander fastball, will now wear a cup and should be back in the lineup Thursday, the New York Daily News reports."

With that said he could be a 15/15 guy but probably won't hit for a good average since his approach at the plate isn't exciting.

Niewalphabet doesn't excite me.

Cowgill is probably similar to Valdy as far as 15/15 potential but not a great approach at the plate resulting in a less than stellar batting avg.

Duda...a 20-25hr threat but really not much else

I don't think any of these guys have high enough upside to be drafted even in 14-16 team leagues as you could gamble on higher upside guys over these guys and if you have to you can still pick these guys up off of the FA list if needed.

Out of all of them maybe Cowgill has some value.

Valdespin will wear out his welcome very similar to what he did last year. He can get hot for a few games and put up some numbers, but he is the type of player that generally just has bad habits and is immature. The cup thing is just another example. He's the type of guy who in a one run game late with men at 1 and 2nd with no outs he's swinging for the fences on all three pitches.

Cowgill might have some value in deep leagues especially if you have 5OF. He can hit for a little average and power and steal some bases. If he hits .290 with 12Hrs and 12SB I think he could be useful.

I don't see Duda being on the major league roster by the end of the year. I think the Duda experiment has run its course.
