And Axford looked very bad in the next inning. Henderson next in line (deep league pickup?)

Yeah Axford is not going to last long. Grab Henderson if you want an average closer on an average team in 1 week.

Picked up Herrera before today's save based on this. Definitely hoping your call is right!

We discussed the Cubs, Tigers, Royals and Brewers and pegged the best add from the wire in the Bottom of the 9th portion of Week 2 of the Cafe Pod:

RUN!

#Brewers manager Ron Roenicke ssid he needs to talk to John Axford before discussing closer situation. Sounds like change coming.

My guess is Henderson would be the first add, then Gonzalez, then Figaro.

I'm assuming a left/right CBC with Henderson or Gonzalez but he may just name a single closer which would be great for those of us who are quick on the WW.

While we're waiting for the Brewers' sitch to shake out...

Yost is sticking with Holland.

For Monday's game, Yost faces a quandary -- would he use Herrera and/or Holland for a third straight day?

"This early in the year, you really try to refrain from throwing them two days in a row, let alone three days in a row," Yost said. "And they've both thrown two nights in a row, so I don't know what I'm going to do when I get to the ninth inning. I'm just going to have to play it by ear. If I do pitch 'em, that will shut 'em down for the rest of the series."

This quote makes it clear that Herrera is the clear cut #2 and Crow is #3.
