Fujikawa with a rough one, but MarmLOL does exactly what we expect, again. Will be interesting to see if they keep running him out there to get slaughtered.

Yeah there seems to be some kind of Cubs bullpen sub-divison of their curse. I was in a very deep NL only pool and ran out of auction money to buy closers. So I picked up Russell and Dollis after Marmol slipped last year and they both stunk.

Also, going to have to eat crow on my Jupton disappointment prediction. :~(

Cubs manager Dale Sveum said there will be a discussion about other closer options after Carlos Marmol blew his first save of the season on Saturday.
It wasn't just Saturday's blown save against the Braves that caused Sveum to make those comments. Marmol has allowed runs in all three of his appearances this season. Sveum indicated the team might look to Shawn Camp or James Russell in save situations in the future. Kyuji Fujikawa has struggled too much to be given a shot.

Russell or Camp. so who should it be?

It won't be either. Russell may be used in situational match-ups to get the odd save but would never be given the gig full-time. Camp is a 10 year journey man with a career .288 BAA and more career blown saves than saves.

Fujikawa is the guy when Marmol is replaced.

Yeah, I'm still thinking Fujikawa is the best bet. Sveum mentioned Camp and Russell, but he didn't really sound like he was ready to give the job to either.

We have (Shawn) Camp and (James) Russell who seem to be efficient when they pitch...They've never really had to do the three-out thing in the last three outs. But there's a mix of pitches and pitchability, so those are options.

That sounds committee-ish to me. Camp seems like the better add of the two, just because of handedness. But I'm not dropping anyone valuable for either. (Just yet.)

If those are your choices I would avoid the bullpen completely.

I own Marmol and Fukijama already so I'm invested in the situation.

I can't imagine they don't go to Fujikawa because of one bad outing. Didn't allow a baserunner in his first two times out, either. I wouldn't bother with Russell or Camp because even if by chance they're thrown into the role they'll probably lose it in a couple weeks anyway, and won't be so kind to the ratios.
