CBS Sports' Scott Miller reported Monday night that Pirates and Giants were "serious suitors" for Wilson, but Nightengale hears that the Dodgers have moved ahead of the pack. The right-hander has been out all season rehabbing from Tommy John surgery, but he has impressed in recent bullpen sessions and feels game-ready. He could be an impact reliever down the stretch.

if that happens who closes in LA?

Kenley is a dominate CL... possible top 3 guy in the game imo... Wilson signing shouldn't scare anyone off Jansen... in fact it might be a good time to try to buy on Kenley using that for un unsuspecting owner for leverage.

Just wanted to say how good Gregg Holland really is... you never hear anything on the guy just "KC bullpen is really good" and rightfully so... it is... but man that kid throws gas, i saw him touch 99 a couple times this year and he NEVER gives up a HR. He's literally been the best closer in baseball this year in my eyes, on the field and in the stats... 14.43 K per 9 is Kimbrel-like with a mini 0.88 WHIP! Yet you still don't see him anywhere near the top rankings on sites...

That fastball is his 3rd best pitch too. :-°

Wilhelmsen out as closer (for now, at least). Sounds committee-ish, but I haven't read anything definite. Perez, Medina, or Farquhar?

I think the M's just plan to throw Felix 9 innings everyday...

Cisnero came in for Houston in the 8th to protect a 2-1 lead but promptly gave up the lead. Any guesses as to who might be the closer?

Three cheers for another committee!

Lo, Zeid, Cisnero, and Fields. Fantasy owners wondered if a closer on a very bad team would be worthless. So Houston traded its closer and replied, No, I'll show you what a worthless closer looks like. :-D

Rex Brothers surrendered a run on two hits against the Pirates on Friday, but still managed to secure his eighth save of the season.
Brothers allowed an RBI double to Pedro Alvarez, but was able to pitch his way around any further damage.

He owns an outstanding 1.39 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 46/22 K/BB ratio through 45 1/3 innings on the season.

With as well as he's pitched, seems possible he'll remain in the closer's role for the remainder of the season, even after Rafael Betancourt returns from the DL.

Thoughts on this???
Good thing i own both brothers and betancourt.....

No one is falling for that. People know it takes time to get into baseball shape (ergo spring training) and then time to catch up to hitters. So he's just doing setup or other role.

I suppose it's late enough to show your BS colors on a regular league, but do not try on a keeper. I tend to make BS Trader lists and whenever I see their name on a trade, I don't bother to even look. I just click veto. I wager I'm not the only one.
I love mock drafts.
