Not sure but think its immaterial....Street had a good session off a mound yesterday.....no pain in the calf.....and will throw again this week with a strong eye to returning to the club by Friday or Saturday, at the natural end of his DL stint.

Gregerson has been overused and needed a day or two off. Guy pitched 4 times in 5 days and 6 times in 9 days.

finally.

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly has named Kenley Jansen his new closer.
It was bound to happen. Mattingly stuck with Brandon League as long as he could, but with a 6.00 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and four blown saves, League just wasn't getting the job done. Boasting a 2.53 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 44/6 K/BB ratio over 32 innings this season, Jansen certainly has the ability to be an elite fantasy closer.

Thoughts on Jansen as a full time closer? Top 10? Top 5?

i thought we all agreed that losing organizations don't get a ton of save opportunities.

Looks like Stanton took Henderson deep in the 8th inning... didn't watch the game, but I assume MIL was planning on easing him back into the closer's spot?
Life is like riding an elevator. It has a lot of ups and downs and someone is always pushing your buttons.

MIL has said they plan on letting K-Rod get his 300th save (I think he still needs 2) before reinstalling Henderson. A few more performances like this could change those plans. (Crossing fingers...)

Does anyone have a feel for what's up with the Angels? Is Frieri firmly entrenched? Who would be behind him? Any other potential changes of late? will pick up KRod for the final two saves (he's hurt me with that one bad night) but what other suggestions do you have? All current number ones are taken....
