Any thoughts on Trading Zimmerman for Halladay?

Postby plamb23 » Fri Feb 01, 2013 2:08 am

12 team 5x5 roto, 15 keepers--

Keepers- McCann, Votto, Kinsler, Andrus, Rutledge, Zimmerman, Machado, Seager, Freeman, Trout, Cutch, Willingham, Fowler, Price, Scherzer

In my mind, i think I need to add a third keeper SP

Here are a few offers/discussions that I have on the table:

--Halladay for Zimmerman

--ARam/Latos for Zimmerman

--ARam/Lester for Zimmerman

What do you guys think? should I hold, take one of these, or try for something better

I tried for Hamels, Medlen, Sale, and Moore---and came up empty

thanks and i will help when I can

I think I might take Aram/Latos for Zimmerman. I have Aram ranked a decent amount higher than zimm for this year and latos is a pretty solid guy to get on top of that. Only problem is that you'll have to drop seager on top of that, but I think your team is good enough to win it all so I'd take the upgrade for this year even if it meant trading for an older player.

I like the ARam/Latos for Zimmerman trade the best.

Thanks for input---other manager backed out on Latos/ARam said Lester/Aram is best he can do...

Also still have opportunity to get old man Halladay---would anyone consider that?

I am leaning no because of age, but I need another top tier P, I think

I like the Latos/Aram deal as well. I think I would put Zimmerman and ARam about the same so adding Latos pushes it into your favor.

I don't do it. I don't like Lester at all, and there has been a steady drop in his periph numbers the last few years that makes me believe last year was not just some huge fluke.

It feels too much like just settling for a trade and I don't think I would be willing to do that at this early point in the preseason/season.

I would have done the Latos/A-Ram trade as I do like Latos alot.
