I wonder if Laurenzi will be filing suit against Braun sometime in the near future.

Sadly, I'm 99% certain he is not kidding. Also, Lofunzo sighting!!!

Alright...so then what's the point of this site? If no one should take anyone's advice, why should anyone post on the DTKW forums. Why should anyone post anything at all if no one should listen to anyone's thoughts. Of course you should do your own research, and have your own opinion (which luckily I followed in both of the situations I mentioned).

Thanks for the laugh. Needed it.

CBS Evening News reporting it could be a lifetime ban for A-Rod, but it sounds like pure speculation based on the report that MLB has way more evidence against him than they did against Braun. I find it hard to believe they'd give him a lifetime ban but I could easily see 150 games. Pretty crazy, never thought I'd see MLB taking this kind of action against players without a positive test.

Me either. But mostly I'm just glad that someone is finally thinking of the children.

Off of Rotoworld:

"USA Today's Bob Nightengale reports that Alex Rodriguez has no intention of negotiating a settlement with Major League Baseball and would appeal any potential suspension.
A report earlier Tuesday from CBS Evening News’ Jim Axelrod said that A-Rod is looking to cut a deal with MLB, but Nightengale is hearing otherwise. Axelrod's report says that the third baseman could be looking at a possible lifetime ban from MLB. CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reported Monday that A-Rod's suspension is expected to be announced within the next 2-3 weeks. "

YES! I really hope A-Roid's vanity leads him to fighting this and appealing and not doing the plea agreement. Please, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!! let this be the case. I want the book thrown at him HARD. Kick him out of baseball and have him appeal that. I soooo want that!

On a side note, I like that Chris Davis has gone on record that he is chasing the #61 when it comes to homers in a season. Once I heard that, I became an instant fan of his.

I agree ... I remember there was a poll as to 'who should be pick # 1' and many 'experts' said it was clearly Braun even though there were drug issues.

In one of my pools I lucked into the # 1 pick ... I took Cabrera

Why anyone would blindly follow what anyone says is ridiculous...not even talking just fantasy sports, but everything. You should always be doing your own research on all topics no matter what the consensus is.

Besides on this same site there were plenty of people saying anything we think we know about suspensions or appeals or timing or any of this was pure assumption. Plenty of us stated there were enough concerns with Braun to prevent us from taking him before safer choices, some had him out of their top 10. I'm sure every site similar to this had significant disagreement as to how sure a top 3 pick Braun was. And just like us I'm sure there was also disagreement as to when/if/ or how significant any suspensions might be, as recently as this weekend. Completely unfair to single this site out.

Cmon Bud, NOW is the time to sack up and force feed an Olympic style drug program down Fehr's fat throat. Save OUR game from these blatant cheaters!

Well if he gets a lifetime ban, then he has nothing to lose in an appeal. I suspect that if the Commish has the goods to think lifetime ban, then the evidence has to be completely damning. Most Yankee fans can't stand ARoid and a lifetime suspension not only removes the jerk from the team but also gets us out of that Hank Steinbrenner screw up of a contract...win-win.

As much as I would like to see him gone at this point, I don't see any way how he can go from zero failed tests to a lifetime ban, no matter how damning the evidence is against him.
