Day (white) game is 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000x better

LOL I should've said that either black or white, it's definitely a good move Yahoo provided the choice.

Our H2H league would love to have a 2 week final. Any chance this feature would be added?

Also the schedule has been a problem for us too. We have two divisions, but the automated schedule does not give us two games each vs. division opponents, but does vs. some of the non-division teams. Can there be an option to force 2 games each vs. division foes?

This is actually one feature Yahoo has that even some paid sites don't have. You can set your own custom schedule in any way you want (Commish Tools -> Edit Schedules).

Here's the algorithm my league uses to set our schedule, which sounds like exactly what you're looking for: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmkBNPY405WAdGo1MVZQeFhhOHdpTHFwYjBfeVBzb0E&usp=sharing

Haha you guys are funny. The dark/light themes have been available since like week 1 of football season. :-D

Agree that the light background is infinitely better.
I cant imagine many people purposely using the dark theme. Now only if there was an option for light themed player pages...

Wow that is perfect, we even have a 14 team league! Thanks for sharing.

Would be great if Yahoo had something like this for their automated schedules. At least make sure you play divisional rivals twice each. But we'll manually use your schedulemaker.

Now we just need that 2 week final. I'm surprise Yahoo doesn't have the option, I would think a lot of leagues like to use this format.

Had to do this for football in one league. The automated schedule that Yahoo generated didnt make any sense at all. It had me playing several opponents twice and a cuople guys in my own division zero times.
Never had a problem in baseball though.

As I recall, there are a couple of assumptions built into the default schedules, and if you violate any of those assumptions, the schedules will turn out odd. The one that jumps to mind is that it assumes the divisions are as balanced as possible i.e. no division has 2 more teams than another. I don't remember the others. That being said, I don't think any default schedule has you play some teams twice and others 0 times. I wonder if you found a bug where the custom schedule tool got involved and then later the divisions were set, teams were added, something like that. Maybe the custom schedule tool was just opened, or used to set rivalry weeks, or something like that.

I remember the commish had set rivalry weeks, and the weird schedule definitely was not noticed prior to that. It was actually during week 2 if I remember correctly. Commish was able to fix it with the tool though.
