when you use b or i in brackets like [ ] that is html right? would that work in yahoo fantasy baseball where you edit your "smack" or whatever it's called now, under your team name? where you put your mouse and it says "click here to edit". if I was to pit [ i ] whatever [ /i ] would that be in italics? or would you just see the [ i ] ? I don't want to try it, have it not work, and have everyone in the league see it and thinking I'm a tool.

No. Those square brackets are used for BBCode typically used on message boards, like these.

This is a question for anyone that can help.

When accepting a trade, is there a confirmation page to make sure that the owner really did intend to accept?
I cant remember off the top of my head but I'm thinking maybe not?

Big fiasco in a league where one of the owners claims he accidentally clicked accept when he had no intention to do so.

when you click "accept" there is another small box that pops up on the screen that says something like about whether you want to accept and you have to click something on that box as well.

There's a confirmation pop-up.

But if the guy immediately said it was an accident, I'd have no issue with the commish over-turning the trade. He has nothing to gain from doing this, I guess other than having another owner say "hey I'll give you a better deal if you cancel this one" but that would be pretty obvious after the fact. I guess it depends on how much discretion the commish is given to use his judgment. In one league of mine on ESPN, on more than one occasion, an accidental bid of something like $211 instead of $21 was placed during the initial auction, and obviously it was reversed so the entire season wasn't screwed up because of an honest mistake.

THanks Skin. Appreciate the help.
Turns out the 2 owners worked it out and reversed the trade on their own.

Also, I had a chance to browse through this thread, and wow! What an awesome resource!
Awesome that an actual Yahoo employee takes the time to respond to requests, and it looks like even implements some of the suggestions into the game. Really cool.

if I was one of the owners not involved in the trade and the commissioner decided to ask whether anyone had a problem with reversing the trade, and I felt like the trade helped categories that would favour me, then absolutely I would have a problem with the trade being reversed.
I'm in this one private 12 team non keeper league where we play with basically the same 12 every season. at the beginning of the season the commissioner posts a note that there will be no canceling trades if one owner says oops I didn't mean to accept that.

I want to see if this is something that is possible. you can see your own up the date statistics through the day/night. you can also see other owners up to date statistics through the day/night by clicking on each specific owner. could there be a way through yahoo to see everyone's up to date statistics all on the same page? I don't think you would be able to see each players statistics, but you could have.. "ownerX" - #R #HR #RBI #AVG #SB #W #SV #K #ERA #WHIP.
sometimes I find myself checking other owners who have a category close to mine to see how they are doing. everyone's numbers on the same page would be great.

You're referring to roto leagues I think, but for H2H leagues it helps me see how I'm doing in comparison to other owners each week - I.e., if I have 12 HRs, but I'm losing to a guy with 15, but everyone else in the league has fewer than 10, it's good to know this stat category loss is an outlier. For H2H leagues you can still use this Greasemonkey script to get them all on the same page:

(one of the few scripts that still work)
