2 weeks left, 1st place, please help, Votto back, drop Dunn?

Postby JoshuaHavok » Sun Sep 09, 2012 5:47 pm

Everyone,
I'm currently in first place and have been all season, so all that stands beside me and the championship is the next two weeks! Please help me out, I have Votto that I must move from the DL spot. I am thinking through this sites advice, to drop Anibal Sanchez to bring back Votto, and I'm thinking of dropping Dunn and picking up a pitcher. Recently, Peavy has been put to the waiver wire and thinking of grabbing him, Estrada or possibly Fiers. Any suggestions, this is a keeper league, and Dunn has now been sidelined again with an oblique strain (for next couplle games) and I wouldn't keep him anyways. I would also drop another pitcher as well to pick up a third waiver pitcher, but who would be the next to drop after anibal? Edwin or tim hudson?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm in a 10 team Head-to-head KEEPER (keep 12 of 24) league with 9 hit stats(R, H,HR, RBI,SB,BB, AVG,OPS, XBH) & 8 pitch stats (W, CG, SV, K, GIDP, ERA, WHIP, QS). We are allowed 30 moves and 2 DL spots. I've only used 14 of my 30 moves and am currently in first place.

These are the guys on the Wire:
Batters - Kevin Youkillis,J Werth, E. Aybar, D. Murphy, C. Maybin, M. Reynolds
SP - J. Peavy, J Samardzija(but ithink hes getting shut down) M. Fiers, Estrada, Corbin, Z McAllister

This is my team:
C - Joe Mauer
1B - Paul Goldschmidt
2B - Jason Kipnis
3B - David Wright
SS - Jimmy Rollins
CI - Dunn
MI - Ian Desmond
LF - Ryan Braun
CF - Andrew McCutchen
RF - Jay Bruce
Util- Micheal Bourn
BN - Pablo Sandoval
DL - Joey Votto
SP - Hiroki Kuroda
SP - Tommy Hanson
SP - Medlen
RP - Craig Kimbrel
RP - J nathan
RP - K Jansen
P - Brett Anderson
BN - Anibal Sanchez
BN - Dan Haren
BN- Edwin 'Jackson
BN - Tim Hudson
BN - Jonathon Niese

Yes. I just made the exact same move in my keeper league.

Help with mine?

I wouldn't drop Edwin or Hudson unless their matchups are very tough. Hansen hasn't been great lately
When asking for roster advice in these pages, remember there are thousands of different sets of league rules & many different active roster settings. If you want the best replies, be sure to include your leagues particulars in the original post

So I dropped Anibal to make room for Votto, and I dropped Dunn for J. Peavy. Are there any other changes you would make? Do you think Estrada or Fiers is worth a pick up off the wire over anyone I have ?

I figured I have enough moves that if I need to I can stream some pitchers, which pitchers do yoou think I can stream, Peavy ? Jackson ?

Thanks to everyone to already commented, any other advice would be helpfull!

Griffin is available on the wire as well, does anybody think he has value over any of my pitchers?
