As a Bosox fan, I'm not in hysterics - but I am certainly glad that Schilling is there to be the new workhorse. I remember hearing talk that Pedro hurt his shoulder in the series against the Yanks last year, and that he had to shift his mechanics to nursemaid it and downplayed its significance.
I still think he is one of the best pitchers in baseball, but I am worried that the days when the Sox could ride him for 20 wins are over. Generally, I am not worried about Spring Training - but Pedro virtually never has an outing like that, especially with his pride and competitive nature...
