What to do with Ellsbury? WHIR

Postby pcm4 » Wed Jun 27, 2012 12:37 pm

So now that Ellsbury is going to start a rehab assignment pretty soon and will be back in the next few weeks I am realizing that my OF is a little crowded and I'm not sure what the right play is. I'm in a one year, 10 team, H2H league. My roster is as follows:

C: M. Montero
1B: Ortiz
2B: Pedroia
SS: Lowrie
3B: Middlebrooks
OF: Bruce
OF: Bourn
OF: Trout
Util: Harper
BN: Ryan Zimmerman
DL: Ellsbury

SP: Verlander
SP: Hamels
RP: Putz
RP: Soriano
P: Bell
P: Parnell
P: Clippard
BN: Halladay (DL)
BN: Worley
BN: Bauer

When Ellsbury comes back I will have 5 outfielders and a pretty Red Sox heavy roster which I am not so sure is a great idea. My starting pitching is also a bit thin atm as I am only rolling out 4 starters while Halladay is on the DL. A lot of guys are pretty hungry for SP in this league so the trade market isn't exactly booming. That being said should I just sit tight? Try and package him with someone else (who?) for a SP? Trade someone else? Any feedback here is appreciated.

Thanks and leave a link.

Since it's a 1-year league, I'd probably try to make a 2 for 1 deal for a stud SP. Maybe Harper and Worley? Find someone who needs an OF player and target one of their SPs.
