Moustakas or Morneau? Garza or McCarthy?

Postby mcmbpd » Sun Jun 10, 2012 8:22 pm

This is a 12 team mixed, non-keeper, head-to-head league, offensive categoires include Runs, Hits, Doubles, Triples, HRs, RBIs, K's, SBs, Caught Stealing, and AVG. Pitching categories include Wins, Loses, CGs, Shut outs, BBs, Ks, ERA, SVs, and Blown Saves.

C Weiters
1B Hosmer
2B Uggla
SS Jeter
3B D.Wright
OF M. Holliday
OF Jennings
OF Brantley
UTIL Morneau
BN Kemp (DL), Viciedo, and Howie Kendrick

SP Verlander
SP James McDonald
SP Hellickson
SP Vogelsong
RP Jansen
RP Hanrahan
RP Nathan
BN Robertson (DL)

Possible offensive replacements: Moustakas, Rajai Davis, Ben Revere, Saunders, and Delmon Young. Would you drop Morneau, Viciedo, or Brantley for any of them? Specifically Moustakas for Morneau

And since trading Samardzija and LaHair for Uggla yesterday I now have any open starter slot. Possible pitching replacements: Brandon McCarthy, Matt Garza, Diamond, Pettitte, and Doubront. Specifically Garza vs McCarthy. I could add McCarthy right now (FA) but Garza was just dropped so I might have to use the 10th waiver claim if I wanted to add him

Thanks so much in advance for all your help!!

I think i would rather drop Morneua for Garza and then grab McCarthy with your open roster spot. Put Viciedo at Util. Then to shake things up even more I probably drop Kendrick for Doubront. I always prefer to have a ton of SP and maybe 1-2 bench players. If you run into injury problems then you can start dropping SP to find replacements but I move SP in and out of the lineup in regards to matchups and rarely touch my hitters.
