According to the NY papers the Rangers were backing off either Kazmir/Reyes and exploring other avenues with the Mets. The trade talks died right after that article got published where Soriano said 1. He wouldn't switch to OF and 2. after playing for the Yanks he couldn't see himself playing for the second team in town. After the Ordonez debacle there wasn't a shot in hell of the Mets trading for Soriano after he made that comment.
