Vlad and Dunn are two entirely different different players. Vlad is a .318 career hitter who has averaged less than 0.5 K/game and ~0.333 BB/game. Dunn on the other hand is a .242 career hitter who K's about twice as much as Vlad but also BB's about twice as much. The two have two very, very different approaches at the plate. Vlad does everything you teach young ball players not to do, but it works for him. We'll likely never see another player like him. Other players with his approach bat .250, not .318.
