Boy that's tough ... can't help but think Montero would be better down the stretch but honestly, Ellis has produced big time. Is he due to slump? I'd see what other cafe goers have to say on this.

I'm in the same position as a Montero owner with Ellis available on the WW, but I am staying put. I think the only thing we can count on from Ellis over the rest of the season is a good OBP. I think Montero offers more upside in pretty much every other category over the rest of the season. Montero's strikeout numbers this year are concerning, but I am just waiting it out.

Don't fall for the hot bat. Montero is off to a pretty lackluster start by many standards. But he does however lead the DBacks in RBI's.

Currently, he's tied for 10th in overall catchers with 16 runs, 10th in RBI's with 21. Despite the struggles, he's still producing at a decent level. His biggest flaw is his inability to hit leftys.

I have much more faith in long-term production from Montero. He regularly bats cleanup, while Ellis sits around 5-7.

Help?

Stick with Montero, I have to think he'll come around. Ellis is hitting well right now, but I wouldn't count of that to last too long.
