Drop Drew

Postby BigT » Tue Mar 11, 2003 6:24 pm

While i applaud your cardinals representation, since i am a huge fan, i have to say that jd drew is a lost cause. he has a potentially career threatening knee condition. it is basically the same thing that forced mcgwire into retirement, so i doubt he will be effective this season. i'm not sure what is left on your waiver wire, but you might want to pick up a young player like vernon wells, marlon byrd, or a sleeper like jermaine dye, moises alou, or geoff jenkins. your pitching staff looks solid and so does the rest of your team.

Thanks for the input. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Solid team. Pitching and OF is your strength. Maybe you could do a package deal with Klesko + an extra SP to get a better 1B. Or try the same with Renteria. Overall I like your team. But DROP DREW FAST! If the guys that BigT endorsed are gone, look at Joe Borchard - CWS, Mark Kotsay - SD, Dave Roberts - LA (steals), and whoever wins a starting job in the MIN OF. They have a ton of talent there!

You really could use Some RP, although they are less valuable in the 5X5 leagues. I would maybe see if you could pick up some good OF of the waiver wire, but you definitely have a good team to start.
