Need an Ellsbury replacement with speed (WHIR)

Postby wazzeus » Sun Apr 29, 2012 6:41 pm

Kindly rank the following (5x5 roto), giving modest extra credit for speed and at-bats/playing time:

David Murphy
Gerardo Parra
Juan Pierre
Alex Presley
Tony Campana

Will help in return, of course; just leave a link. Thank you.

I like Campana for singles and sb. I like Presley for similar but some extra base potential. Murphy good overall hitter.

Help me?

Parra is really hot right now and getting time as long as C Young is on the DL.

Parra for now.

Long term:
Campana
Presley
Murphy - would have ranked higher but you specifically said SB
Parra
Pierre

Parra faces three lefties next week, which is a concern since he usually sits against them. I do think he'd be the most valuable if he was guaranteed playing time.

As of now I'd say:
1) Parra - assuming he continues to play, though lefties are a weakness
2) Campana - based on the extra credit for SB's
3) Murphy - decent hitter
4) Presley
5) Pierre

All pretty terrible options, I would consider a player who didn't fit this description, maybe a more power guy in the interim... cause for the most part these options suck

1) Parra
2) Pierre
3) Campana
4) Murphy
5) Presley

I know, but it's a deep league, and these are the best available options, sadly.

I would swap Presly and Murphy, but otherwise, this looks right to me,.
