Return to Draft, Trade, Keeper and Waivers Questions

I drafted Josh Johnson and Adam Wainwright, hoping for 1 of them to be their former self. I figured with 2 mid round picks, if I get 1 guy that produces like a front line starter then it would be worth it. But....
Wainwright has been a disaster. And Johnson looked decent today, but the lack of K's is concerning.
Obviously it' too soon to drop either, should I try to trade 1 or both to someone hoping they are getting a steal. Or do you guys see a turnaround in their futures?

Its tough, but hang tight. Both could garner Cy Young votes by the end of the year. Stay the course until at least mid May. If they arent hurt they should be able to correct.

Fantasy sports are ruled by the 50-50-90 rule...
Anytime you have a 50/50 choice between two players, 90% of the time, you'll get it wrong

I would shop them both. Selling low can be really tricky, but if someone is willing to pay for the upside of Johnson and Wainwright and not what they are currently, I say go for it. Think of not in terms of maximizing your value (drafting two high risk guys with the hopes that one pans out) but in terms of minimizing risk.

You have to give guys like this a lot of rope. For every good year you give a month or x weeks (its not an exact science but established guys like this you wait a few months basically)
You would get lowballed on trade market
