Cruz V C. Young....pls help quick

Postby redsox34 » Mon Apr 16, 2012 1:49 pm

6x6 league with ops and QS. Offered my Nelson Cruz and Colby Lewis for his Chris B Young and Wilson Ramos. I read that Young has a wrist issue 2nd half last year and has changed his stance. I dont expect him to keep up this pace but is it reasonable to think he could easily outproduce Cruz even if he stays healthy? Keeper league 4 guys year to year and have dealt with Nelson's hammys for 3 years. Advice please

I find Cruz can be a pain in H2H leagues because he is out of the lineup a lot. So for that I might give CB Young the nod, esp in an improved lineup. I do think, however, that you might want to get someone a bit better as the second player. Unless you need Ramos. Just because I think Cruz still comes across as a bit more "premium" than Young for whatever reason. Not a bad deal though.

Despite the DL issues, I'm rolling with Cruz here. Power is key in H2H and Cruz has a ton of it. Not to mention, if Young falters at all (he's not THIS good) I could see Parra stealing PT.
