This is a 12 team H2H each category league where I picked 10th overall. Elite pitchers went flying off the board early and often, leaving me scrambling in later rounds to find some. Despite the lack of an elite ace, I did benefit from snagging some great hitters though. What do you think?

C: Yadier Molina
1B: Votto
2B: Ricky Weeks
3B: Pablo Sandoval
SS: Elvis Andrus
OF: Carlos Gonzalez
OF: Michael Bourn
OF: Jason Heyward
UTL: Billy Butler
UTL: Nick Markakis
UTL: Emilio Bonifacio
Bench: Willingham, Gamel, Scutaro

SP: Gallardo
SP: Bumgarner
SP: Beachy
SP: Luebke
SP: Liriano
SP: Danks
RP: Melancon
RP: Bailey (need a replacement)
RP: Clippard
DL: Carpenter

Any input is appreciated. I'll make sure to help in return.

Snag Alfredo Aceves. He will help fill in for Bailey while he is out, and he will also have SP availability which can help if you've filled your RP spots. He is strong mid relief and spot starter for a strong team.

Very solid team...

try hernandez - nats, brett myers - stros, even david robertson - nyy... the tampa closer situation is in shambles right now, try to get peralta, and fernando rodney, and dump scutaro

take a look at my team

Your starting pitching really isn't that bad. The Top 4 are very good and should help you in 3 pitching categories (I'm not too crazy about the run support for a few of those guys, so Wins is up in the air). I'm not sold on Liriano, despite a good Spring, nor John Danks. The last thing you want is for 2 high-risk pitchers to sack your ERA/WHIP for the week. Look around for some free agent pitchers, in a 12 team league there's probably a few low-risk (but not domianting) starters.

Thanks for the replies, I picked up Aceves for Bailey, giving me both of the Boston relievers. I've thought it through and this is what I'm going to try and accomplish:

- Acquire another Starting Pitcher (Probably Fister since his owner is notorious for bad trades.)

- Move Luebke to Relief Pitcher (he's eligible for both, but puts up starter-like numbers)

- Bomb saves and possibly lower my ERA but gain the upper hand in K's, Blown Saves and Wins. Thoughts?

Just be careful in punting saves... depending on if your league has a min innings pitched limit... a team of good relievers will have a low era, and whip... but not many K's... I think you should go for K's and Wins, and punt saves, and era to an extent... try to pick up hector santiago also... whitesox... darkhorse candidate to close games with his nasty screwball

Definitely like the team you put together. Excellent hitting all over the place and you still managed a solid pitching staff. Really like Bumgarner this year. Your team should definitely compete for a championship
