Keeper Quandry

Postby letter18 » Thu Mar 22, 2012 5:41 pm

So I just took over a keeper team, standard 6x6 plus QS

keep 3 P, two SP

My first keeper is cliff lee so the question becomes: Beachy or bumgardner?

I know who I'm leaning towards, but I don't want to give my rationale until some others have weighed in.

Thanks guys.

Keep Bumgarner for sure. Next question.

EDIT: To answer your query, Bumgarner has already proved that he can be excellent in the majors, and all his peripherals indicate that he can be even better. Beachy is a beast but much more unproven and hence more risky. Bumgarner is a very safe bet to produce great SP numbers and most likely exceed them.

Bumgarner has already gone through his growing pains (I think). Check out what he did post-April last year, and realize he may be not only great, but elite this year. I know this is going out on a crazy limb, but I'd consider him possibly #1 on his own team. Yes, I do feel that way.
