Better Keep J. Hamilton in round 5 or M Bumgarner in round 8

Postby mciv » Tue Mar 20, 2012 2:53 pm

12 team H2H 21 round draft league.
We get 4 Keepers my current ones are:

M Cabrerra round 1
Ellsburry round 4
J. Shields round 18

Help pick my last one should I go J. Hamilton in round 5 or M Bumgarner in round 8. I prefer to wait on pitching until later in the draft but Bum in round 8 is good value, but is it better than Hamilton in 5?

Tough one, but if you want to rest more assured regarding injuries then I would buck your own trend and stick with Bumgarner in round 8. It'll give you two pitchers, but I like the young value there versus hoping the more injury-prone guy sticks together.

Hamilton in the 5th kind of seems like a steal to me. This guy if healthy could be a top 5 OF in any league.

BA and Power, nothing to balk at.

I have Bumgarner ranked just above Hamilton, I would probably lean towards having two pitchers instead of hoping Hamilton gets you at least 100+ games. (121 last year, and 133 the year before). I'd take the young hurler.

130 games of hamilton is still more valuable than bumgarner, and im a huge proponent of madbum.
I go with the bat, especially since u already have shields basically for free

i think the question should be shields or ellsbury.

keep both and i would dump ellsbury.
