Advice going forward?

Postby pjtroy34 » Sat Mar 17, 2012 10:52 pm

12team, H2H weekly 6x6 roto; additional cats of BB-KO hitting, L, SV+HD.
C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, (4) OF, UTIL, (4) SP, (2) RP, (1) P, (8) BENCH

We are in the 13th round of our keeper league draft...19th round of actual player talent.
My next pick is 18 picks from now in the 19th round.

I'm fairly light at SP, but outside of Johan, nothing really sticks out...maybe Nicasio or Bailey (have never liked him though).

Players I'm considering
Kendrys - could use the BA bump if he is healthy, but he'd be behind a logjam at DH unless he gets 5 OF starts at some point...doubtful most likely. Trade value if he plays.
Altuve - like the upside, have Pedroia.
Bourjos - wouldn't mind a speed option at OF4 outside of Bonifacio; added KO-BB category hurts him.
Pagan - boring, but he's a blender at most of the hustle categories.
Boesch - like the thought of him sitting fastball ahead of Miggy and Fielder.
Rios - best shot at 20/20 if he can get it together.
Johan - he'd be my #7 so not a lot of risk, but can he be effective with reduced velocity?
Nicasio - shot at upside.
Dempster, Nolasco, Sanchez, and Edwin also available, but they do little for me.

I hate drafting backup C, but I'm considering Doumit later as I think he may finally stay healthy.
SS situation is ugly, but I may just ride it instead of using pick on Cozart or Desmond.

Man, Morales provides the best value here but you're right, it'd be a log jam. I would lean towards Bourjos so that Bonifacio has some freedom to be moved around from OF. I wouldn't want to rely on Belt in that spot at the current time, and Bourjos' speed could help you out quite a bit.

I think I would go Boesch here. I think he could have a good year with that offense around him.

Morales would be my pick. He could carry some major trade value if he does make a come back. If he's not there I would look at Boesch or Rios.
