Bruce vs. McCutcheon Views * WHIR *

Postby Seanyfever » Sat Mar 10, 2012 12:09 am

I have a loaded outfield with Ellsbury, Bautista, Bruce and J Upton. Yes, I feel privileged. This is not a scratch draft, but we are in the tenth year of a keeper draft.

I have toyed with thought of McCutcheon. Another owner must trade him or lose him to draft. If I made a flip, it'd be likely Bruce. My gut says I hang on to Bruce, but another person contributing across the board does not sound too shabby.

Talk me into it, or reassure I am right.

I would much rather have McCutchen than Bruce. Bruce's extra power doesn't make up for the big speed and batting average difference.

McCutchen is higher than Bruce on my cheat sheet for this year, don't know why I'd expect it to be different in the future.

I'm with the crowd on this one as well - you want Cutch over Bruce. The uptick in speed with McCutchen makes up for the difference in HR. McCutchen also gives a better BA for you...

McCutcheon... how is this a consideration?

Cutch and Bruce have similar numbers but definitely the extra speed you get is going to make your a team a lock for the SB category.

Thanks for the help with mine!

I like extra power more and I also think Bruce might end up a little more w RBI so I'll say Bruce.
